It’s grim oop north…

Apple announce they plan to open stores in Sheffield and Manchester…
…the Sheffield store being at Meadowhell Meadowhall…
(this is approximatly 6 months after I bought my powerbook…
…gits.)
Many city centre shops closed down as they were attracted to new, cheaper and better locations in Meadowhall. Empty shops get targeted by graffiti and make the city centre less attractive. New traders are not attracted to the city centre and the vicious circle continues.
They should open the new Apple store in the city centre and bring some much needed business back to where it would do some real good to our city.

But surely the real question is whether they will be selling Apple-branded hoodies & baseball caps in the Bluewater branch?
Totally agree with you btw, Sheffield city centre could do with some shiny things. How is the powerbook? Was considering buying a Mac Mini but am now slightly confused by the Intel thing…
powerbook is loverly, buy one today!
It’ll be at least 18 mnths if not 2 yrs before you can buy an intel based mac, by then it’ll be time to buy another one anyway =)
