CYBO FOR SALE

July 26, 2005

Domain for sale, www.cybo.co.uk could belong to you.

Make me an offer - 5 figures - serious offers only.

Why is it for sale? - because it says nothing about me and I plan to move to something a little more ‘personal’.

Why would you want it? - because you are looking for an easily identifiable brand to sell your new hi-tech product or you are a global communications company looking for a ’sub-brand’.

There are many reasons you might want cybo. If you need me to tell you them then you probably can’t afford it.

Go ahead - you know it makes sense. :-)

This page intentionally left blank…

July 22, 2005

…well not this one, but this one is.

Why?

Well, back in the days when books were printed on paper, due to the way the sheets were folded and cut, you’d often end up with ‘blank pages’, at the end of the book, publishers put “This page is intentionally left blank”, on there to stop people thinking they were missing the last pages of the book.

Try it yourself, take a sheet of A4 paper, fold it in half across its width, then again, now slice off the narrow folded edge, you should have an eight page A6 booklet, but what if you only had 7 pages of text?

…yup, “This page is intentionally left blank”.

In order to preserve the spirit of the dead tree age, this website, urges people to create a blank page on their site…

…as a person that used to work with deadtrees, I quite like the idea. :-)

M.P.Free (CSi)

July 20, 2005

A billion people heard my song….
So, Goodbye Mr Copyright…

Now people don’t give a fuck!

in the 21st century -
the day the music was free!….

AaaaaaaH, save KaZaa…..

by James/Jones

James/Jones are Tony James And Mick Jones, together they make up two members of four peice outfit Carbon/Silicon (CSi) the best thing to happen to british music since Wendy James, just not as pretty. :)

If you think you recognise the names James & Jones, thats ‘cos they used to be leading lights in Generation-X, Sigue Sigue Sputnik and The Clash, Big Audio Dynamite.

And if thats not a musical pedigree to be proud of, I dunno what is.

The other two members of CSi are William Blake: bass and Danny theRed: Drums, dunno there backgrounds but they sure know how to play!

As you can tell by the lyrics to the song above, they have a rather enlightened policy with regard to copyright.

Check ‘em out!

The Last Trip

July 18, 2005

Well from yesterday ’shrooms are now a class A drug.

I haven’t taken any for years, but I remember the little fellas fondly and with a happy grin. :-)

Seems a shame that our ‘Nanny State’ feels that it must clamp down on this harmless (if you know what you’re doing) pastime.

So instead of being able to buy ’shrooms legally with good advice about what to expect, the trade will be drivin into the hands of the underground and all that that entails…

…great.

NO2ID Pledge Successful

July 17, 2005

The pledge to not register for a National ID card has been successful, this means that over 10,000 people (not counting duplicates and false posts) have registered to defy the National ID card should it become law.

More people are still needed however, 10,000 is just the beginning, add your name today and make a difference.

Egoism…

July 13, 2005

Being the “ego-centric narcisist” I apparantly am (see ex girlfriend), I occasionally google my own name (yeah - sad…).

Anyway, I was quite pleasantly suprised today to find that the top 7 out of 10 on google were all me :)

And even more suprised that the 10th link reffered to a book I apparantly wrote and then forgot all about!

Looking a bit further it turns out that James Barter is quite a prolific author, having writen 41 books…

This one is my favorite so far.

update: I’m also a character in a play set in ‘nam. I sure do get around a lot!

Cool OSX Apps

July 8, 2005

A nice implementation of an NT thread about essential applications that designers (for the most part) used on their mac’s.
